Story
Bringing Pawsitive Change
Here at the Smoky Mountain Humane Society, we are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) driven by a single goal; to do our part to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home lost, abandoned and unwanted animals of Cocke County, TN. We strive to build productive relationships to make "pawsitive" changes in the lives of any animal in our care and county. We are achieving more with our initiatives than ever before. We are working on many exciting projects to help improve the lives of the animals in our care, and are very proud of the progress we continue to make.
A No Kill Animal Rescue
Reinforcing our Commitment
Our county is only accepting strays and unwanted animals from their animal control officers. Over the past twenty four months, private citizens brought over 750 strays to our facility. During this same time owners surrendered more than 1,050 animals to our facility.

We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to learn more and lend your support through adopting, fostering, volunteering, donating, becoming a member, and being a strong and pawsitive voice for all the animals in Cocke County.

Beginning August 1st, 2022 we are 100% funded by private donations and grants. We need your financial support to continue our live saving mission. Please donate or join today.
